How Stand Mixer Lab works
We are a small, independent site. We make money when you buy through our Amazon links, at no extra cost to you. That only works if the research is honest, so here is exactly how it is done.
One database, many pages
Every mixer is a single record: its identity, price, full spec sheet, six scores and the editorial write-up. The category pages, the comparison tool, the radar charts and the buying guide are all generated from that one record. Nothing is typed twice, so nothing drifts out of sync.
Where the specs come from
We start from the live Amazon listing — title, price, rating, images, the feature bullets and the full technical table. Where the listing is incomplete or contradicts itself, we take the figure from the manufacturer’s official product page. If a value cannot be confirmed from either, the spec shows a dash. We do not estimate numbers to fill a table.
The six scores
Power and torque, bowl capacity, versatility, build quality, ease of use and value for money, each from 0 to 10. Scores are set across the whole catalog at once — a 7 for capacity means the same thing on every page — and are recalculated whenever a mixer is added. They are our informed judgement based on the specs and owner feedback, and they are always labelled as editorial, never as a manufacturer claim.
Reviews
The “what owners say” section summarizes the verified customer reviews shown on the product’s Amazon page — the recurring praise and the recurring complaints. We quote real reviews where we captured them and never write fictional ones.
Prices
Stand mixer prices change constantly. Every price on this site is a dated snapshot and is clearly marked as indicative. Always confirm the current price on Amazon before you buy.
How the six scores are set

| Ease of use | Head design, weight, dishwasher-safe parts, speed range and how easy the bowl is to scrape. |
| Value for money | The other five scores weighed against the typical street price. |

Stand Mixer Lab is not affiliated with KitchenAid, Cuisinart, Hamilton Beach, Aucma or Amazon. Brands do not pay for coverage, placement or a score. Our only revenue is the standard Amazon Associates commission on qualifying purchases.
